My Tormented Soul

Juan R. Alvarez 2021 (East Los Angeles)

My Tormented Soul

My Tormented Soul, that screams and yells and makes mad jestures, fueling that within me that swells and festers.
Not knowing when I will erupt, Wishing I could just shut the hell up!
Offending everyone in sight, not caring with who I fight
Wish I could find some Strength and Wisdom, but I'm wondering blind, in a foreign Kingdom.
Unable to follow just one rule, Feeling like one big Fool.
I fear the morning after, when I have to face the harvest of my rapture.
I wish it all just to end, for God to help me comprehend.
That which scares me and makes me fail, that thing that scares and raps my tail.
I wish it all to end, But it's me,  who has to Bend!

About this poem

This poem expressed my frustration and my anger regarding all my short comings as a man trying to make it in a world that's not so forgiving!!
