AARU (FORBIDDEN)

Before my very presence

In the land of the rising sun

All hell was broke lose

For a matter quite trivial than insignificant

Rose the shrieking alarm of brutality cum desecration of an

Astute man so revered and honoured
over mere garment so adorned by he

About this poem

A Nollywood personality was accosted by some men in green because of an attire he wore which was believed to be associated with a proscribed successionist group back home. This caused a great stir in the media and condemnation of the actions of the military. Thus, the reason for the title "AARU" meaning "Forbidden" in IBO.
