Regretting

Lana Tbatou 1962 (Bloomington)

I look at you and you look at me
We wonder where are we going where can we be
We started out so much in love
Then anger stepped in and out went the love
The passion, the romance we had before
It slipped away it went out the door
Now our hearts are filled with anger and pain
The love has slipped away only in vain
Where is the passion and love we once knew
My heart feels so empty I am so sad and blue
Where do we go from here
Does one of us need to disappear
Can this relationship be saved and renewed
Or is it over for us too
I loved you once more than you could ever know
But your anger and pain has hurt me so
I'm not sure if I can ever forgive and forget
I wonder do you have any regrets?
Do you regret the love we once had and let go
Do you regret the fact that you destroyed it so
When will the pain come to an end
When will we learn to forgive and to forget and to love again
When will you and your love come back to me
When can I love you again or will you set me free
Freedom from you would be no better you see
For my heart is broken and can not mend over thee
I have loved you for what seems an eternity
But I wonder did you ever really truly love me?
Open your heart and let me in
Break down the walls you put up and maybe then
Then we can have what we could have had before
Just open your heart and I swear I will  love you more
More than you will ever be loved by another woman on this earth
More than one man could ever ask to be loved
I just need a chance you see
For I dont regret lovin you
Do you regret lovin me?
