New Horizon

Pin Lim 1982 (Montreal)

New horizon

Walls closing in on a void already occupied in my empty place
Can't stop looking at old pictures reminding me of your lovely face
Days seem longer can't unwind time and have you replaced
Everything reminds me of you and the marks left/every trace

Staying up late wondering about the what-ifs or could've been
Scenarios repeated endlessly of parts act out of movie scenes
Both main characters profess their love and that passionate kiss
Everyone longing to experience life for a moment like this

Rainy days seem to go on forever like its never-ending
Gotta stop beating myself up and embrace a new beginning
Find the strength the resolve and breakthrough my fortress of solitude
Elevate me to newer heights to accept failures with the right attitude

Every step I make should lead me somewhere on this winding road
Not everything will always go the way I've planned so I've been told
Must keep pushing through and maybe if we cross path again someday
I'll be able to look back at into your eyes and tell you

I'll be okay.
