Dear God

Please protect me,
        Not only from sin,
        But from the things that I see,
        I beg of thee, let me in.
Bring me to life,
Watch this son of mine,
Make me a better wife,
Help me not to be blind.
       Help me to see,
       A life beyond here,
       Help me to believe,
       Take the wheel, help me to steer.
Let me love, and please see me through,
Everything that's bad,
Let me see only the truth,
And then I wont be so sad.
      Help me find peace within,
      And forgiveness where there is none,
      Let me love without end,
      When I see what all the world has done.
When I look at this world of fear,
I see hope, not hate,
When I cry my final tear,
I will know seeing you is my fate.
     So Dear God don't let me fall,
     Help me find my one truth,
     With your love I can have it all,
     I will always know what to do.
