Tender

Rebecca Bellig 1972 (Camp lejeuene nc)

Her heart she wears on her sleeve, hard to believe she was once naive. Trickery and deceit, abused and abandoned changed who she used to be. Weak and broken, alone and adrift in a sea of black, awaiting the next attack. Out of the darkness and into the light no longer naive is she. Unwilling to allow hatred and defeat to take hold, she arose from the ashes brave and bold, her heart still on her sleeve.
