Gains

I could stand here and tell you about the things I have done. I could boast to you all day about the prizes I have won.
Although there have been many trophies in this world that I am proud to own.
It means nothing at all if my heart is a stone.

If you think this material stuff brings happiness and joy,
You are sadly mistaken because they are a decoy.
You see, all this stuff will fade away, and when our lives turn into dust,
What will matter is if our hearts were filled with love and trust.

We are living in a society where we spend billions to get to Mars,
while our children are down on earth suffering and are starved. Take a look; where can we go? Do we really want to see or do we really want to know? I'm not asking for the world, I'm not asking too much, all I want in this life is a little human touch.

There will come a day when touch will be rare. The heart will cease to love then we will all be in despair. I don't want that date to ever come, but it looks as if we're in a predicament. What does it profit a man to gain the world but lose his soul? I want to keep my body and soul focused on my goal. Live, Laugh, LOVE
