Just The Basics

James E. Spurgeon Jr. 1986 (New Jersey)

Losers tried to choose us to dismantle, baffle, and confuse us
Self-righteous rulers made wise by the knowledge of the foolish
"Cool it" to the ghoulish lost ones lost out because they misconstrued the truest
Abased from chasing face, forsaking grace, and leaving their place
A major mistake with no redemption, so their resolve is hate
Which doesn't make sense because you shouldn't have stepped on the court if you didn't wanna play
Why buy ingredients if you didn't want cake
Don't just hear what I'm speaking, listen to what I say
Facts switch up but the truth'll never change
Hours go by but time is the same
Anguish is always self-inflicted pain
If it's your decision to go outside, then don't complain about the rain
In black and white, it's given to you plain
It goes cause to effect, affect to effect
Project to reflect, decide then select
