Salt & Pepper (Spice of Life)

James E. Spurgeon Jr. 1986 (New Jersey)

So, it can't be about sex
Here, I'll break it into sections
In the intersection, better yet injection, of the soul
Two paths cross to tie, u-n-i-t-y
You and I tie, going in and out of experiences
Being fully present to present one whole
If not, it's just a hole
Driving you deeper as you go
Into the madness of self-destruction
We're taught it's called "being cold"
But the flame of life is ignited through friction
No tension, which is the cause for the wetness
No slipping
Just stand strong unto the end
And when finished
We've gained a higher understanding
Preceding the second win
Victory in life and life again
That's more abundantly
A bun in the oven, if you perceive
Impregnation of the spirit, soul, and body
No leaven in this bread to puff up inside thee
This is how I give when my reward is with me
