Fizzy

You were fizzy and hard.
But now that's gone.
I can't feel your thick pinches
you're absence is making me numb.
I'm avoiding you because
I can't see you anywhere.
You're fading. I can't see you
You're still there.
You were my medicine, when my head was hurting.
I didn't like the taste but I knew it was working.
You're gone. So I can't take hard-to-swallow pills.
Now i'm lonely. Alone and sick. I'm ill.
Your hands were hard and thick;
it was your words which kept me safe.
In a safe somewhere is the rest of them.
But there's only so much fizziness I can take
