Webbed fingers.

Heather Lydia Thornhill 1981 (Manchester)

She listened to the spiders soul,
allowing its walk and mould;
to show her its purpose
as it blanketed her hands.
It said, "My legs make house shapes",
and, "Your walls are like fangs".
Too tiny to see how bright and white,
they drank, worked and slept both at day and at night.
If it were a planet, it would be the eighth.
I said, " Although tiny, you have much worth in your gate".
