Discouragement

Discouragement to feel it these days,
Is a challenging task to undo.
Although there seems to be many,
Who expect more of it to get.
As if they can not quit,
A seeking for more of it.
To validate a maintain craving,
That comes to soothe a negativity wished.
And like a hunter on the prowl,
They are heard to hear...
Moan, whine and growl about everything!
When and wherever,
That urge to purge something foul.

And...
Within minutes,
They find inviting companionship.
Those who have become,
Professional moaners and groaned.
Expressing a willingness,
To share their despairs and sorrows.
Accompanied by pains and aches.
With their latest disappointments.
Prepared to compare.

Leaving not one to exclaim,
Confess or admit...
Enough discouragement,
To have had enough of it.
But the doing of this seldom happens.
In environments making it easy,
For people to believe themselves to be...
The main attraction that invites,
Pity to exchange for bartered sorrows.
To add comfortably to a list,
Of woes not yet to experience.

'Here.
This should keep you discouraged,
For at least...
Three to six months.'

'Gee. Well...
Okay.
But I was hoping to find,
Something more anguishing!'

'Come back in four months.
One never knows,
Who may show up...
With eyes bright and feeling positive.
Willing to leave us to be,
The caretakers of their discouragement.'

'That's promising!'

'Yes.
It is.
Although rare that is these days!
We did have a guy,
Bring to us his lucky rabbit's foot.
He got tired of being happy all the time.
Said he felt uncomfortable,
When it was widely rumored...
He was adding oregano to crack!'

'Was he?'

'People are that desperate,
To make sure others stay discouraged.
And we all knew,
The guy was not Italian!'

'What sense does that make?'

'Exactly.
None!
