Diamonds, Pearl's and Rust

A poem....Diamonds, Peals  and Rust

I caught the scent of dessert sands,
There was the fall of reason in the Holy Lands
For  your love, I am enslaved
The road to you heart has been paved,
With Rust,  Diamonds and Pearl's
While in the sandstorm the Angels twirl.

I have been waiting so long to find
Someone I could love with a beautiful mind.

But the touch  of you kisses could not dismiss
The monster that was the past.
These times of love, you know they don't last.

Your love  I've seen was pain and agony
From it's power I could not break free.
Thus  for your love I was a fool
To allow you to be so cruel.

My love took me to such dizzying heights.
Now I must suffer retribution rites.
There was only that one thing, your bite
And no daylight could come shed it's light.

Oh father. I have sinned
For I want to love him again.
The sand storm in the hourglass
Was a whirlwind of desire.
Try as I may, I could not light your fire.

I granted you love far above your Ken,
For you would become the envy of men.
Whatever my vices you will spend
You days on earth as if in heaven.

You didn't understand my love, you didn't understand my need.
You treated me with contempt,
Before the fatal kisses started  to bleed.

The restless storm of a hearts dispair.
It is the thorn of the rose that  we share.
Here is to all I give advice;
To seek love, you'll pay a price.

A curse that haunts a thirsty tomb,
But for truth, there is no room.
And we suffer all the more
If love be love, we must be sure.

And when fortune meets the eye.
We'll see the storm clouds in the sky.
At the reflection in the mirror we stare
At all the bleeding wounds that we see there.

My wounds are open flowers
And they have bloomed for thee.
To help our heart stop bleeding
I accept your apology.

You are the truth and agony.
Love must be proved, it is plain to see.
Must we be tortured on a bed of lust?
We hold on to Diamonds,  Pearl's and Rust.

I had suffered and you came
To set my world right again.
You are the balm for my pain.
You will take the blood from my veins.

The need was dire, the rites were wrong,
And the flowers burst forth in song.
Here is a kiss that is so sublime and
Taste of  your lips the flavor of clementine.

My fall was complete
Here comes the funeral pyre.
Oh so sweet was my desire.
That wrecked the heart withing my breast
And deposited my soul into emptiness.
