On the banks of the river Mississippi,
The notes of a Scottish bag piper's sonnet,
Assaults the listener with sadness and bliss.
The waves of the river become silent,
On hearing the bag piper"s sonnet.

From top of the elegant Oak,
The beautiful nightingale"s sonnet,
Brings everlasting hope.
The waves of the river become silent,
On hearing the nightingales sonnet.

From beneath the oak tree,
The arrogant hunter"s cruel act,
Bring untold agony.
The waves of the river protest,
At the cruel hunter"s act.
