The Truth of It

I don't need to accept it

you need to accept it

you know what it is &

you know the truth of it

I can't tell you what to do

in fact no one can tell you

use your innate God given

you know the truth of it

plead & beg for your life

it is a grace & you are miss-

using it for your own delusions

you know the truth of it

don't use others as scapegoats

it affects you at night or it

might affect you at dawn

you know the truth of it

no one can tell you otherwise

it is your comfort your sin &

only you are integrated with it

you know the truth of it

you know how it has you entwined

like a serpent in its hold strangling

threatening taxing refusing to let go

you know the truth of it

blood has been shed for you for us it was shed

He has overcome the world & so we too will

seeing the cross standing in the middle

you know the truth of it

we all know the truth of it no one is exempt

life has its bitter pains & its glorious moments

times at which we see from the pinnacle & then the

paradigm of life shifts to salvation we know the truth it
