The Wind’s Song

The Wind’s Song

Listen.
To the liturgical ensemble
Of spring’s chorus—
Never winded
but livened
By the shimmering breeze
And the glossy green hued rays
That the spell of seasons
Casts upon the earth.
Branches orchestrate
With sweeping waves
And rolling gestures,
Cuing first one
and then another,
Leading them to and
From each bar—
First high,
and then low—
Directing the harmony of life
Until closing her fists
To quiet the chaos once more.
All while remaining poised
To signal her next song.
