Two Armies

Two armies meet to fight this day,
And here the warriors stand,
Above she flies, the crow of war,
And battle claims the land.

The sun arises from the east,
Bringing warmth to all,
But coldness fills the battlefield,
As each man awaits the call.

Soldiers eyes, filled with hate,
To taste the blood of foes,
So swords are drawn, pikes are braced,
And archers pull their bows.

The horses tense, for they know well,
That death is in the air,
The mounted knights then calms their steeds,
And for battle, they prepare.

The call has sounded, the charge is made,
The fighting has begun,
The battle lust, the blood that’s shed,
Will end with the setting sun.

What is war, what reason for,
Who’s madness can this be,
A lad, he dies, a lass, she cries,
And a lesson no one will see.

Two armies met to fight this day,

As Arawn claims the land.
