Hold On

Another day has come and gone
And still I feel the same.
No pain, no fear, no joy in here
Another day down the drain.

I pray to God for wholeness
For hope from up above.
To feel an ounce of peacefulness
Embraced by Gods own love.

I read the word, I hit my knees
Surrendering each time I pray.
But still another morning comes along
And I'm sad to face the day.

I believe that You feel my hurt
My emptiness, tears, and shame.
I pray for peace, a sweet release
To end this mental game.

I know theres hope in You, O Lord
I must just hold on.
And continue giving it all to You
To face each days new dawn.

So today, I choose to try again
To face the morning sun.
To love by spouse, my girl, the world
And try my hardest to have fun.
