"Haunt Me"

"Haunt Me"

Haunt me if you will.
Let your sweet scent wake me from these fractured dreams.

Sing to me my Love.
Not in the moaning sorrowful voice of the lost soul but with the sweet serene song of the saved.

Reach down and clasp my spirit in your hand and fly towards the heavens.
Let it be God's will to decide if my soul  leaves the room or remains here, alone, loving you?
Haunt me my love, if you will?

About this poem

This is one of numerous poems written about my Wife who I lost in 2011, I wrote this out the of frustration of not understanding why I was not having any dreams about my wife. I to this day have only had one.
