Labyrinth

Kathleen Naval 2001 (Abuyoy)

Invisible war to the catastrophe.
Sounds of sirens buzzing like bees.
Drown in waves of doubts and worries.

River of tears flowing on the covered cheeks.
In the eyes of everyone is a tongue that speaks.
Freedom—is what isolation seeks.

Land turns like an eerie battleground.
Don't feel so safe and sound.
That sometimes a home isn't a safe camp to bound.

Like a prisoner on a labyrinth of science,
we'll reach the exit with great compliance.
Someday we'll embrace like those lovers on acquaintance.

About this poem

This is all about the situation that the world was facing. The world battling with an invisible enemy. We are in an invisible war. We may sometimes think that there is no end to this. We may be on a labyrinth of disaster but one thing is for sure, and that is this has an exit.
