THE LAND OF DREAMS

Phil Roberts 1957 (Melbourne)

Creatures from the land of dreams
Invading the land of the living,
Nightmare creatures come to life
Grotesquely foul beings.

A nightmare place of endless horrors
Manticores, hippogryphs, and dragons,
The Verdillac, the Harvester, the Green-Man
A horrid litany that goes on and on.

The Kraken, Basilisk, and Blemmyae
Awful beasts from horrid dreams,
Breaking through to the living world
Making the whole world scream.

Stampeding into the living world
Arachne, the Balayang, and Kelpie,
Nightmare creatures on the prowl
El Chupacrabra, Kushtaka, and Selkie.

Nightmare creatures from unreality
Now invading our living land,
Making humanity their slaves
Enslave by this evil band.
