Listen

Tonight there’s a party
on the other side of the world
World, can’t you hear the laughter?
World, can’t you feel the peace?
Pause for this moment in your day;
Pause your arguments & listen;
Listen and you’ll hear how peace is born
Born of laughter, born of people
Born in love, born in children
Listen, they’re not arguing, all intent;
Intent in enjoying
Intent in each Other
Other people, other smiles
Other people’s children.
Listen, World, can’t you hear the laughter?
Tonight, there’s a party in the world.
