Misery

I can't forget the day I left, in pain and misery, so faded yet clear to me. As you stood in the doorway with your eyes full of tears, waving and thinking of all our good years. As I got into the car, I took one look behind and pictured in my mind our happy reunion. With so much hope not thinking of dope, just you and me together into eternity, or was it really meant to be just you and me or a waste of time holding on to a treasure that will never measure up to be reality or with the future GOD has set for you and me.
