DARK NIGHT OF THE SOUL

On the dark night of the soul
Only evil walks this land,
Empty promises freely flow
Across red desert sands.

In a place now lost to fear
The dark night omens doom,
Nothing decent fills the land
Dark shadows creep about your room.

On your last night of sanity
Only terrors invade your brain,
Swirling, monstrous faces
Driving you half insane.

Nightmare creatures haunting
From some Lovecraftian realm,
Shoggoths, night gaunts, Elder Gods
With Great Cthulhu at the helm.

Manticores and hippogriffs
Invading your mind at sleep,
As around your lonely bed
A minotaur slowly creeps.

On the dark night of the soul
Only great evil dwells,
Sending you torrid dreams
Straight to you from Hell.

On this evil night
The final night of your life?
Horrid nightmares hover
Terror is ever rife.

On the dark night of the soul
Only demons will attend,
Creeping closer to you on
The night your life will end.

THE END
