In sequence of nine

Mark Cloutier 1972 (Kaneohe)

When the time elapsed
The world fell to a tale
Of myths and cryptic
Words of verse
That caused all to fall
Before us in word
Then we entered
Another world
Of light and truth
Which fell upon
This world's head
Which was sent
Into a nether world
Of myths and cryptic
Lines of the divine
In a sequence of nine
That led all
To a world that became one
And two, above and below
As a lion fed like a lamb
And a wolf lied down
Which when they awoke
The children were grown
