What We The People Need

People need love
People need relationship
People need to feel valued
No matter what kool-aid they sip
People need to feel safe
Free from violence and scourge
That society accepts all
And sees each other’s worth
We don’t know motives
We don’t know intent
We don’t have access to how their heart ticks
Behavior needs to change
Showing kindness and love
We really need heart transformation from above
I don’t have all the answers
I don’t have a quick fix
But if our leaders come together
It would make a big difference
Our US leaders need to set the example
From their throne
Model for the country
What it means to “stay home”
“Stay home” in the senate with the ones you fight
“Stay home” in the house in the midst of the strife
Show our people how to stand tall
Stand with Pelosi, Trump or Crenshaw
Stand with Hilary, Biden, or Pence
Just stand together despite your differences
Your country needs you to stand and agree
That change needs to happen in our society
This is bigger than you and having your way
This is about the future of all people in this country
