AFRICAN CHILD

She beds on her palms waiting for the new dawn

Minds being poisoned with disembodied spirit

Fueled by a raging storm

A breeze whispered with a sharp voice head above

Murmurings and ululations speared the eardrum

Fear turns into strength with a pint of joy in the shining face

Where forth shall the journey begin?

Every second of breath counts

Firefly at every corner pops with lightening

The only reality lies in the imagination of an Africa Eagle

for the fresh air is polluted with inhumane sound

still stands on top of the Mountain

heavily slapped by the famous Mphepo

An African Eagle flaps the wings in a secret cave

Ready to fly high

rejections and betrayal

conquered by industrious with courtesy of love

About this poem

It depicts the hard secrets behind the success of an African Child. More of a girl Child. But there is Hope that one day Victory shall be won!
