Just love you for a lifetime

You open up your eyes,
I'm laying by your side,
Just thinking of the future,
And just how much I want you...

You see, I have alot of hurt inside,
That nobody knows,
But I don't let it show,
I just brush it aside.

I look into your eyes,
And I see the hurt in you,
From every past relationship,
But I don't question you,
I just know....

I know one day you'll tell me,
If and when you ever want to,
For I will not press the topic,
I know, And respect my boundaries.

Everytime I look at you,
The feelings you give me,
Just by looking back at me,
Make me want you all the time...

Not a day passes by,
That I don't feel lucky, for I,
Know I've found the woman,
I want for my whole life

I should tell you more "I love you",
But the words don't come easy to me.
I think it's because they are said to much,
Taken for granted for some.

But there's not a minute goes by,
That your not on my mind,
Your voice, your smile, your warm embrace,
I long to hold you close.

I've written this poem,
No doubt in my mind,
That it's you I want,
For all time.

Be my baby,
My one and only,
I'm not here to hurt you,
Just love you for a lifetime.
