Old Temple

Tranquility reigns inside this temple.
It passes through the shattered wall
As if a storm surge came and conquered the Earth---
Sea no more; just mud and dirt!
The air around is like sighs from melting ice,
Touching the very flesh of roaches and mice.
Day and night seem simulated by a wandering firefly,
Resembling a star that's lonely in sight
'Cause it's lonely inside...
Oh, so lonely inside.
