Yuhoo, We're Back!

Lili Mamuric Mallari 2021 (Solano, Nueva Vizcaya)

in a millennial hiatus
swirling minds simmer
whirling emotions go placid
amidst the accolades
silence spans into yawns
aquiesces to hibernation
docile and dormant.

akin to glass
forged and tempered
like fermented wines
aged and cellared
have they been likewise
in chrysalises of butterflies
reemerging more ornate
resurrecting more potent
my verses, my rhymes
my heart, my mind?

haaah!
the swirlings, the whirlings
here again inundating
a tsunami overwhelming
my brain spills
my heart stirs
my passion forth springs
my verses animate
into rhythmic melodic sprees
Whoa, I am conceiving!

About this poem

The wait has been long amidst the angst of having been unable to get hold of my published poems, and the anxiety of watching my prolifcacy succumbs to extinction. Just when I was about to give up, here comes the great resurrection! Welcome back, poetry.com. Now I could conceive and give birth to fresh rhymes and rhythms once again.
