A Tribute to My Mother
Dedicated to the members of my family and to our close friends
Mother of mine, you gave me the life of Thine.
Without your love, what life would be mine?
You're the strength for my journey onward.
I glance through my childhood
To admire your motherhood.
With great patience Daily
You helped me grow Gaily.
Mother of mine with grace divine
Led a faithful life, worthy and benign
Took every challenge fearlessly
And taught me to face life nobly.
Lonely and wondrous days you led
While your heart with God's word you fed
Following His message in detail
No one's freedom you would curtail.
Mother dear, in your last message of comfort
You asked me to be faithful to the Spirit
I listened to you with gratitude and wonder
A command of love, I'll cherish and ponder.

About this poem
This was my first poem ever written in 1986, dedicated to my mother who passed away. My poem, first of all, praises the beautiful qualities of my mother, her faithful dedication to her family, and her deep love to bring me up spiritually strong. Her last message I cherish the most.
