Ocean Eyes

She quietly stumbled into the bathroom
When she reached the mirror, a stranger was waiting

This stranger looked tired
Almost as if she was already dead
But her eyes… her eyes were alive

As she gazed into those eyes, she found herself falling
Falling into a cold ocean

The water engulfed her and she tried to fight back but she found herself paralyzed
Not from fear but from exhaustion

As she sunk deeper into the water, she watched the surface grow more distant
Along with her hope of being saved

As her breathing became labored and she succumbed to drowning, a figure wrapped its arms around her

She was brought to the surface, gasping for air
Suddenly, she was once again staring into the mirror

Only this time, there was no stranger
It was only her
