Rise Up

Stuck in a quagmire,
As I gazed at the rising Sun,
Thought, if life could get better,
 Or will continue being numb

Overwhelmed with the intensity of my thoughts,
Bewildered felt the mind,
Wondering if my vulnerabilities,
Will create a strength of another kind

Perturbed by my own emotions,
As I stared at the deep dark meadows,
Felt it's now time,
To move ahead from the darkness of these shadows

A conscious effort to chase that unconscious dream is what I have in mind,
Transforming me into a better person,
Leaving all the insanity behind
