A truth about life

Kansha A. 2010 (India)

Pay heed to what the wise men say
Attention to those words you must pay.
A famous saying often told
"Everything that glitters is not gold"

Many examples might be given
But there is one above them all
A challenge, a competition
Life it is called

We hear it's likes roses from our elders
many forget that every rose has multiple thorns
Equally balanced, bullies and helpers
An object of scorn

So now that you know
(Though you'll learn more as you grow)
I'll take my leave
Do come to visit me!
