A fatherless child

A young infant
Blooms
Out of the mother's womb
With cries of new life
In the eyes of new strife
Held tenderly by mother's love.

At ease unaware
of the lack of the father's care
A child smiles of innocence
With the sadness of the
Father's lack of presence
Starring back at him.

As the young child grows
He wonders were is his father?
Mother's love may be like no other love
However father being here
Would surely make everything more than enough?

He faces the world with anger and staggers into his own lost identity
Not realising that choice comes with no indemnity
Like a fantasy he dreams of the possibility
But soon he will have to face his reality.
