OMNIVORES

Omnivores slowly approaching
Looking for nuts and berries to eat,
Or failing that some fruit and veggies
Or lone humans on which to feed.

Hunting through the streets at twilight
Gigantic verminous rat-like things,
Looking for vegetables they can eat
Or if not then feasting on human beings.

Out of the shadows of the night
Malevolent creatures are stalking,
Hoping soon to feast upon
Some innocent creature out walking.

Hunting through the dark alleyways
Looking for lonesome innocents,
Wandering through the empty night
Too far from the safety of their tenements.

Carnivores and omnivores
Both haunting the hungry streets,
Readying to hunt down living prey
To have a late-night feast.
