Rest for the weary

Get me in the tub
Take me to the river

Let me drown in my sorrows
My peace to deliver

Soak in the waters
Salt heals the scars

I'm not a normal being
I'm a fucking superstar

Melt away my pain
Warm my aching mind

Lay in my mess
Truth I've come to find

Release the demons
They lie deep within

I purge the nonsense
while displaying a grin

Welcome the quiet
Feel the release

Mend the nothingness
I wish to cease

My skin absorbs the warmth
My soul in submission

Seek true bliss
Mental and physical in collision

I may never leave
This place of stillness

A momentary escape
From ongoing mental illness
