Nature's Answer

Michael Matalon 1973 (New York)

What intelligence exists in our genes
that give them orders to build these machines?

What recipe is found within a seed
that brings forth such variety and breed?

What logic dwells within the flowing air
that makes it disperse and spread everywhere?

What is the wisdom that keeps us alive
that consumes energy just to survive?

What thought gave birth to our universe
that Man yearns to understand and traverse?

The puzzle is the answer that we learn
and discover in awe of all we yearn!

About this poem

I have always found that complex answers exist in the most common things...and the universe is not random, but a pattern of clues in the formation of an intelligent universe.

The universe is of a multiple and complex nature. How ironic that the complexity of multiplicity disguises the simplicity of singularity and universal oneness.

It seems you have some of the same interests as myself. I once read the entire World Treasury of Mathematics, Astronomy and Physics, over 1200 pages. I only wish I'd understood more of it. LoL

Clearly I also enjoy writing poetry since I've done so for over 25 years. For me this is about as good a poem as one could construct. I love intelligent poetry. This is that. Thanks for sharing.

I like your poem. Every day, we walk past so many miracles, not focusing closely enough to formulate the important questions that you ask.

I respect your opinion, you are well versed with a full resume and credentials to back you up ! I like the Bible's version of living better. .To each his own !
I do apologize because I think I am taking this platform too far in the wrong direction, Agreed ? ( We are poets sharing our thoughts, not beliefs ) Live the Life !

Its me again, don't you know that God can live in you ? If He does, your life is not your own anymore. Its the Holy Spirit, the Holy Comforter that dwells in you !
Ask and you will receive the meaning of life

      - While I appreciate your response, I say it's an empty gesture to just say everything is God without looking at the data and trying to understand the nature of things. Then, when you've uncovered the secrets, you will appreciate the wisdom in things much greater than just blank faith. My opinion of course!
