IN REMEMBERANCE OF AN ENCOUNTER

You promised to build a beautiful castle
Where we could live in our ethereal dreams
But our real life is not what it seems
As most of the time we have to wrestle
With our substantial differences.  

You came unravelling the mystery of philosophy,
While I love my travel and journey in prophecy.
I appreciate your soft elevating flatter,
And I do admire your intellectual power.

There were times when we paused and pondered,
Wondering what stories the future would unfold.
Do we dare to walk on the path of the unknown,
where even the bravest angel fears to tread?
Or to drift in the stream of our wildest venture,
and leave everything we have learned
to welcome the uncertainty ahead?

In hesitation we each looked deeper within,
Two heavy hearts reluctant to say good bye.

Please remember me in laughter or in pain,   
I will treasure your kindness in my teary eyes.
