Plenty of time

Ricky lee jr 1987 (Columbus)

In the beginning you crave adventure an unknown world.. Nothing but you and street lights chasing money and girls.. Young and wise there's nothing else that I needed to know.. So my mouth stayed open in my ears stay closed.. And I listen to that voice in the back of my mind.. I'm young I got plenty of time.. Living the good life day after day.. Everything seemed perfect I wanted nothing to change.. Another day down was just another day gone.. Parties thru out tonight the night till the crack of dawn.. I wore a blindfold and chose to be blind.. Cuz I'm young I got plenty of time.. But as I remove the blindfold I'm no longer blind.. And with a clear head my mistakes ain't hard to find.. They say to learn from your history is to learn from your mistakes.. But a pride fueled by arrogance led to an unpredicted fate.. Now I'm left with four walls one ceiling and a floor and a piece of mind.. Now I got plenty of time
