THE DARK STRANGER

The Dark stranger travels
Through the darkened night,
Hiding in the shadows
Waiting to take your life.

Some may call him death
Some call him the Grim Reaper,
Some think he comes straight from Hell
Like some loathsome creeper.

The dark stranger visits
Soon after twilight falls,
With sickle, knife, machete
The dark stranger calls.

Hiding in dark alleyways
He waits for those out late,
Waiting to spring upon them
To bring them to their fate.

The dark stranger calls
Upon those who are desolate,
Those who choose to go out at night
Too foolish to wait:

To wait for dusk to come
When the dark stranger is gone,
Waiting for the next twilight
For his evil to be reborn.

The dark stranger is lurking
In all of your fever dreams,
Leaping from your nightmares
Laughing at your hysterical screams.
