And That’s My Story!

And That’s My Story!

My story is always about today
Chances are, it’s like yesterday?
That’s crazy! Why I ask
Is my story my mask?
My daily living hell
A glimmer of what I tell
To you, myself and others?
As if I had my druthers.
As if I could really choose,
To play and play not to loose.

Who are we kidding me or you?
My story a reflection I imbue
With doubt, worry and fear?
Come on I hold my story dear!
It comforts me, it diffuses pain
Allows my mind the ability to sustain
Occasionally offering mindless tidbits of joy,
Aided sometimes with a random attaboy

Creating what I call stress free tension.
Thoughts relieved by unintended intention
Righteous reasonableness and insecurity
Dovetailing with certain absurdity
Become intwined unable to unwind
Driving me nuts and out of my mind
And, what becomes my favorite stall
Always choosing certainty above all!

In truth, I Love it the best!
Certainty is my bedrock my test!
The basic foundation of my story
And alas the governor on my glory.
The arbitrary glue of my glitter
Keeping me stuck in my self spun twitter.
And that’s my story
Plenty of certainty, less glory!
