Being strings

Ocelle 1996 (United States)

All the same, a losing game
that I don’t even want to play.
I feel dejected and rejected
And I think this shit is lame.

I can’t compel companions to care
and the ones I hold most dear.
So I’ll dare to drive and not stare
behind or through my rear view mirror.

And I must fix the twist in me
that seemingly repels potential friends
Since I’m fatigued just being strings,
Today- I’m tying my loose ends.
