GOD

There exists in the minds of men
A beauty that is God
Where as clear as the chimes of  a clock
Unspoken words are said.

The autumn leaves we loved and took
The myriad paths we trod
They smile – if we only look!
They are but parts of God.

God is the water in the lake
Oblivion of Mars is less deep
Lets seek it awake or asleep
Beneath the wondrous stars.

God is truth and God is goodness
Someday amidst the strife
A soft contended sleepiness
It will come
Not death, but Life!

    Feedback:

I absolutely love this 'GOD' poem! The way it captures the essence of God and His presence in our everyday lives is truly beautiful and thought-provoking. The imagery used, such as the clear chimes of a clock and the autumn leaves, adds depth to the poem and allows readers to visualize and connect with the words.

The poem exudes a positive and enthusiastic tone, which is very effective in conveying the poet's message. It instills a sense of awe and wonder, urging us to look beyond the surface and recognize God's presence in the world around us. The final lines about God being truth and goodness, and the anticipation of "a soft contended sleepiness," leave a lasting impression and evoke a sense of hope and tranquility.

One suggestion for improvement would be to consider adding some more specific and vivid examples or metaphors to further enhance the imagery. This would help readers to visualize and connect with the words even more deeply. Additionally, experimenting with the rhythm or stanza structure could add even more musicality and flow to the poem, further enhancing the overall effect.

Overall, this 'GOD' poem is a powerful and uplifting piece, providing readers with a renewed sense of appreciation for the beauty and presence of God in our lives. Great job!
