Work Done

Lawrence S. Pertillar 2947 (Connecticut)

Get that homework done.
And be pro-active with a preparing,
Scenarios to rehearse and practice.
Both inside, near and around the house.
Or wherever it is,
That keeps you observant about it.

Don't fear to be thought a fool.
To test and be tested.
Or say purposely to choose,
Words to say others may ridicule.
Be honest without,
Having premeditated druthers.
Done to later discover,
Opinions of those others...
Find you and what you do a joke.
Know to stay and pay attention.
Since everything inside and outside,
To lessons learned to your homework.
Found to do and in life to find,
Your mind with time to use...
And not waste.
Creates understanding made understood,
Only fools accept to believe...
Curiosity kills the cat.
But unlike cats,
Rumored to have nine lives.
We live to have one.
And those who spread rumors,
Seem to remain living...
Without being curious,
As to why they kill themselves,
With a listening to others.
Knowing nothing about who they are.
Yet will recommend and suggest,
What they should do to live a better life!

'Why do folks,
Continue to digest stuff like that?'

'Stuff like what?'

'Feed on nonsense?
Than blame and accuse someone else.
For what they've done to themselves.'

'Who knows.
Perhaps they have been made addicted,
On the belief...
They are owed to have someone else,
To do their homework for them!'

'Ain't that the truth.
Have you been inside,
Some of these homes?'

I don't need to do that.
It's enough for me,
To stay on the outside looking in.
Leaving my imagination,
Unnecessary to work overtime!
