i'd rather talk to the wind

I’d rather talk to the wind,
Because it gives me comfort,
A peace of mind, and hope
To carry on with my journey.
its strength i would ask, to carry me
through and though unknown
I’d go, i would still sail on.
I would like the sun to shine,
Behind those clouds
And the mountains so high
So I could feel its warmth
For all the days I have.
I want to feel the waves
As it rustle along the shore
And plant those kisses
Beneath our feet as we walk
Before it ebb silently
And return back to the sea
Then enjoy the calming day.
I’d rather have the silence
The time could give
And let the memory of you
Drowned me in tears,
Than listening to the song
Without your melody!
For how could I wish for more,
If you’re not even near.
And the smiles you have,
Could never be seen!
What choice would I have then,
If the wind that blows settles
Softly down, and darkness fall
As I close my eyes and leave you
Behind the disappearing shadows.
As the sun would set………my dear!
