DANCE ACROSS THE MOON

Scott Fullmer 1963 (Utah)

I SAT AND WATCHED THE MOON LAST NIGHT
I WONDERED IF YOU WERE WATCHING TOO,
WAS IT DANCING THERE ABOVE
FOR ONLY US TO VIEW,
MY THOUGHTS BEGAN TO DRIFT OFF
IN THIS ASTROLOGICAL STARE,
YOUR VOICE LIKE ANGELS SINGING
CALLING ME TO JOIN YOU THERE,
WE DANCED AMONG THE ZODIACS
WE SAT UPON THE STARS,
OUR WORLD SEEMED TO STOP FOR US
AS WE GAZED FROM AFAR,
MY EYES FILLED WITH SLUMBER
THIS DREAM TO END SO SOON,
MY HEART WILL HOLD THIS MEMORY
TILL WE DANCE ACROSS THE MOON.
