AERIAL TIGER

Phil Roberts 1957 (Melbourne)

An aerial tiger
A paper balloon,
The breeze rises high
To the man in the moon.

Nobody worries
No one dares to move,
For it’s only your life
That you’re liable to lose.

The smog of the city
Is enveloping you,
With the aerial tiger
The low morning’s dew.
