My Forever Friend

I never knew a friendship could be this way
Lasting a lifetime, twenty years and a day
When in you a true friend I did find
Not knowing then, it was one of a kind
We have experienced so much, you and I
Our time of joy and our times to cry
Together we were, always side by side
I hope you're my best friend, until I die
Weekends were ours, with my soul sister,yes
Making great memories more than we'd guess
The years have flown by so quickly it seems
But through it all we're still a team
We've had our fun together and trouble too
But friendships like ours are all too few
I'm so glad you are my forever friend
Let's remain heart to heart to the very end
Thank you for all that you have been to me
For in you I found a true friend you see
