Strength Within

I've hit rock bottom, climbed back to the top
Persistent I am, don't know the word stop
I'll tell you now, as I told you then
You don't know where I come from, don't know where I've been
Things in my life have happened to me alone
Events you can't imagine and shall remain unknown
So don't ever say never, never to me
I'm out for the good times; Don't you see?
I've paid my dues, I've had my share
The low down blues and some despair
Time to go on, forget what's left behind
Clear the air and blank the mind
Easy come and easy go, nothing in life is free
But on I trod, I linger not, I trace new steps for me
Thinking of the things that I know now
Has given me an inner strength somehow
So push on I must and never give in
For hear me now, I have the strength within
